passed away July 23, 2015

She is survived by an awesome family and a host of loving friends.

Juanita June Lambert, of Hooker, Oklahoma, passed peacefully Thursday, July 23, 2015, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 95. Juanita was born in Baker, Oklahoma on June 6, 1920, to the late James Mangold and Alleen Webking. Juanita decided she wanted to go to cosmetology school in Ponca City and pursue a job as a manicurist. Her move to Ponca City also lead her to her first love, Weldon Lewis Ewert. Juanita and Weldon moved to Wichita, Kansas where they married and lived happily for a couple of years. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Juanita was preceded in death by her first husband, Weldon Lewis Ewert (1975), second husband, Clyde D. Lambert (1994), stepchildren Karon Besecker and Sharon Mathis, as well as step-grandchildren David Mathis and Debbie Graham. She is survived by her three daughters, Kathleen (Ewert) Smith (husband Fred), Dianna (Ewert) Mathis (husband Joe), and Tamara (Ewert) April (husband Bryan). Juanita's is also survived by her niece, Pam Peachy of Houghton, OK, her stepchild Gerald Lambert of Kansas City, MO, her grandchildren Kandee Nix Barnes (husband Mike) of Amarillo, TX, Brandon L. Nix (wife Kelli) of Hugoton, KS, Wynde Mathis Ashman (husband Mike) of Muncie, IN, Blake A. April (wife Madelyn) of Houston, TX, and Morgan E. April of Fort Worth, TX. She was additionally blessed by her living step-grandchildren Loraine Kellner (husband Mike), Robert Wilson (wife Natalie), and Lyle Mathis (wife Susan), her 6 great grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren. Juanita's love for beautiful clothes, cute shoes, delicious cooking, and perfectly painted nails is something she appreciated till the end.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015

St. Johns Lutheran Church

Hooker , Oklahoma

Mark Wescoatt officiating.

 

Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery
