Mary Eleanor Kuckenbaker

Mary Eleanor Kuckenbaker was born in Lecanto, Florida on April 4th, 1925. She was called from this life at Oakhurst Center, Ocala, Florida on October 22, 2017.Mary E. King Kuckenbaker was the fourth child of William and Bessie King. She was preceded in death by her parents, Two Sisters: Mildred King, Freda Wilson, her brother, Dowell King, as well as her husband Ancel Kuckenbaker, and last year her son, Terry Kuckenbaker.

Mary met her late husband in Jacksonville, Fl. In 1944 and they were married in 1945. They lived in Hollister, California, 47 years, until they returned to Florida to retire in 1992. Mary worked as the Financial Director and City Clerk of Hollister, and even served as Mayor for one year from her position on the rotating City Council. She was also active in working with the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Job's Daughters.

Mary loved to cook, sew, garden and spent many years creating beautiful, hand made, quilts. She also loved to travel and meet new people.

Mary leaves behind her sister Wilma Elmore; two daughters, Pamela Baker and Rhonda Anderson, Eight grandchildren including, Christopher, Tim, Tiffney, Claire, Annika, Gavin, Greta, and Georgina; along with nine great grandchildren: Mariana, Olive, Francis, Arlo, Aidan, Alex, Maggie, Mason and Lennox.

Mary Kuckenbker will be missed by all her family and friends. Thank you for being here with us today!
