Luell Everett, 94 years young, a longtime resident of High Springs passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 25th. She was a member of the High Springs Church of Christ, the High Springs Garden Club, Sojourners for Church of Christ, and she was on the Florida Bible Camp Board since its inception. Mrs. Everett was a teacher in High Springs for 30 years. She made a positive impact on thousands of students during her years there. Mrs. Everett enjoyed traveling, driving her motorhome and watching sports especially the Florida Gators. Mrs. Everett loved her family deeply, including her constant companion, her dog Gracie, and spending time with them.


She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Wyndell Everett. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Everett and Lorraine (Harold) Leslie of High Springs, two sons, Ronnie (Kim) Everett, Gainesville, and Jerry (Paige) Everett, High Springs, one sister, Elmina Skipper, High Springs, grandchildren, Tyler, Dustin, Miles, Austen, and Landon and expected great-grandson, Lane.


Funeral Services were conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 29th at High Springs Church of Christ. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment was in the High Springs Cemetery under the direction of Evans-Carter Funeral Home, High Springs.
