Milbra C. Millican

( March 12, 1926 - July 30, 2017 )

Heaven gained another Angel Tuesday night, July 30, 2017. Spreading her wings, “Mama”, “Granny”, Milbra Hardee Millican, left to join those who had gone before her. Milbra Casteline Hardee was born on March 12, 1926, to Florrie and Isaac Hardee in Largo, Florida. She married George W. Millican on March 2, 1947. They resided in Trenton, FL, until relocating to Live Oak in 1954 where she spent a number of years working with the Suwannee County School Board and Credit Bureau of Suwannee River before retiring. Milbra is pre-deceased by her parents, husband, and ten siblings. “Mama” leaves behind two daughters, Theresa M. Calvitt (Dick) of Live Oak, and Marsha M. Smith (J.O. ”Buddy”) of Hollister. “Granny” also leaves behind four grandchildren: Donald Walker, Jenkinsburg, Georgia, Courtney Baisden (Jason), Odenton, Maryland, Oliver Smith (Lindy), Hollister, Florida, and Julie Calvitt, Lake City, Florida; as well as seven great-grandchildren: Jessica and Jennifer Walker (Henderson, NC), Blair, Brennan and Bryleigh Baisden (Odenton, Md), and Garret and Turner Smith (Hollister, FL.). Visitation with the family will be at 1 pm at Daniels Funeral Home, 1126 Ohio Avenue North, Live Oak, Florida, followed by Services in the Chapel of Daniels Funeral Home at 2 pm, Wednesday, August 2nd . Interment immediately after the services in Live Oak Cemetery.
