WE MOURN THE DEPARTURE OF A MAN WE HAVE KNOWN AND LOVED FOR A VERY LONG TIME.

In an hour like this, our souls are stirred to their very depths for we come to pay tribute of one who has been near and dear to us for many years.
In such an hour as this words seem to be poor objects with which we must fashion the innermost feelings and thoughts of our hearts. How difficult it becomes to put into words those things that should be spoken.
It has been said of Him that He was A fiercely independent man. I know that he was a dedicated husband, a wonderful father and a good friend.

Richard was filled with integrity and determination and had a huge love for his family and church.
Richard and Josephine, his wife, have been strong church going members since they first met. Richard served as a faithful Minister of the Gospel for 50 years.

As I look back on the Godly Characteristics which I saw in Richard, I think of him in regards to many admonitions Paul and John make in Scripture..
--Richard was strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. ( 2 Tim. 2:1)
--Richard took the things that He had heard of many witnesses, and committed the same to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others. (2 Tim. 2:2)
--Richard endured hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. . ( 2 Tim. 2:3)
--Richard Studied to show himself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Tim. 2:15)
--Richard lived Paul's admonition in Galatians 6:2: "Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ."
And Galatians 6:10
"As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith."

What an awesome reunion that must have been, on December 21st, when he answered the Call of Our God to Come Home.

I love you Richard. Yes, You will rest in peace.

John D. Arnold, Minister, Lecanto Church of Christ, Lecanto, Florida
